Roxanne Erdahl, a founding member of Artisan Insight Studios, brings a rich background of expertise cultivated over a four-decade journey. Her deep connection with the Johnson County area spans over 48 years, prominently marked by her ownership and operation of Buc’s Gift Shop in downtown Iowa City. Buc’s Gift Shop was more than just a retail store; it was an eclectic haven offering an array of gifts, jewelry, and handcrafted treasures from Midwest artisans. Her store became a beloved community fixture, celebrated for its unique offerings and personal touch.
In 1983, Roxanne, along with fellow business leaders, founded Arts Fest, celebrating the rich history of arts in Iowa City. Today, the festival, known as The Iowa Arts Festival, is the largest arts festival in the area, boasting a week-long celebration of fine art, crafts, music, and dance. Her dedication to community enrichment and support for the arts has
left a lasting impact, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a vibrant cultural landscape.
Roxanne also brings over 20 years of coaching experience through her business, Erdahl Coaching. She has been coaching teams and organizations, drawing on her work with renowned researcher and author Brené Brown. Roxanne is excited to bring her dynamic, fun, and transformational approach to workshops and learning at Artisan Insight Studios (AIS). She will create thought-provoking workshops and oerings, combining her love of art with her belief that creativity and transformational learning go hand in hand.
Passionate about art and community, Roxanne is thrilled to return to her roots in Johnson County by partnering with Anna Rohde to establish AIS. At Artisan Insight Studios, Roxanne will champion the mission to nurture creativity and foster authentic connections. Her return to Johnson County to create AIS is a testament to her enduring commitment to the arts and her vision for a space where creativity and community thrive together
